  • I am a developer agency with clients interested in LinkedIn, how do I become a Certified Developer Partner?

    Note that the CDP program is limited in membership and prospective partners are evaluated based on criteria including global reach and scale, strategic media agency alliances, and best-in-class expertise with custom API development.

    If you believe that your company meets these criteria, you may submit your interest here and LinkedIn will reach out if they believe you could be a fit. In the meantime, you may reference the publicly available information about our platform products.

  • I want to develop an innovative solution using a LinkedIn Certified Developer Partner (CDP). How do I get started?

    First, make sure to read and adhere to our LinkedIn policies and platform guidelines.

    While the vast majority of our platform products remain open to all developers, you must take into account the intent of usage before building a solution. Any solution that integrates LinkedIn APIs for promotional or commercial purposes must be tied to a minimum LinkedIn media spend, or may be shut down by LinkedIn. Please contact one of the CDPs listed below, or your LinkedIn sales rep to determine the spend requirement for your region.

    The list of current CDPs, including contact information, is below. Please contact a CDP to discuss building your own custom marketing program using the LinkedIn platform.

  • If I don’t work with a CDP, can I still use the LinkedIn platform plugins and APIs?

    While we recommend that brands use a CDP, the vast majority of our platform products remain open to all developers.

    For marketing campaigns, LinkedIn permits a brand’s preferred creative/digital/social agency to function in the same way as a CDP as long as the media spend requirements are met.

    As long as the minimum LinkedIn media spend is met for a marketing campaign, the CDP or developer receives access to LinkedIn technical support teams, a dedicated API Solutions Consultant, and access to increased throttle limits for the solution when necessary.

  • My company has a new social media management tool / social CRM offering / social publishing platform and we want to work with LinkedIn. Would we be a fit for the Certified Developer Program?

    The LinkedIn Certified Developer Program is focused exclusively on custom API development for brands interested in running tailor-made marketing campaigns on and off of the LinkedIn platform. A basic requirement for consideration as a CDP partner is to have robust API development capabilities to build custom apps, microsites, mobile solutions, infographics, etc. for marketers. LinkedIn maintains separate programs for developers with social media management, CRM, and publishing capabilities (among others). Please refer to our Partner Programs page for more information.
