Share button formatting in Firefox

Hi,
I'm facing a strange issue, from yesterday, concerning the Share Button on Firefox only.

The right part of the button (the counter) is moved lower, it's no longer in line with the button itself.

Have anyone noted the same ?

thanks

I tested the share button on Firefox 3.6.8, 4.0, and 5.0 and am not seeing an issue with the button. I also tested on a few different sites using the LinkedIn share button.

Try looking at this page:
http://www.businessinsider.com/there-are-three-us-teams-racing-to-get-to-the-bottom-of-the-ocean-2011-7

If the share counter looks off to you, please let us know what version of Firefox you're using and we will investigate on our end.

If it looks fine, my guess is some css styling on your integration page is interfering with it. If you provide the URL to your integration we are happy to take a look.

I'm having the same problem in addition to the "Share" text being missing from the button in FireFox 12. If I use firebug and remove line-height:20px; from #li_ui_li_gen_1336581627057_0-title, it shows up. The button displays fine in every other browser except FireFox.

Hi Johnny,

Can you please visit: https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins/share-plugin-generator

Does it also have the text missing? Can you please list every plugin and any user style sheets you have installed. Please do not glance over any detail, we need every minute detail you can provide.

Thanks!

Hi Johnny,

Thanks. As I have Firefox 12 for Mac installed myself and am not seeing this issue (nor our engineering team), I need you to provide the details requested in the second half of my reply above.

Hi Johnny,

I've now mirrored your setup with the exception of the Silverlight Plugin (your's is out of date) and the Java Plugin (mine has a different naming scheme, not sure why). Can you please try disabling both of those and trying again?

Hi Johnny,

Going through every setting in the browser I could find, I stumbled across one which might be related. Will you please check the setting of:

Firefox -> Preferences -> Content -> Fonts & Colors -> Advanced -> Minimum font size

Thanks!

That setting was set to 10. When I change it to none, it fixes everything. I have never changed this setting so I assume 10 is the default.

Same here, I change it to none and fix the problem.

Thanks guys! The default is none with a fresh install of v12 on a Mac with Firefox never installed before (tested in a VM environment), but it might have been a default in the past.

I'll pass along this information to the engineering team, glad I got to the bottom of this.

Thanks for your help! :)

Hello everyone! I've changed the FF minimum font size to none but still not seeing the button correctly. My issue is the opposite, the left side is dropped lower than the counter. Here's the link: http://jorgevillanueva.com/portfolio/senor-sangria-2

Also, using FF 15.0.1

Thanks in advance

Hey Jorge,

For your case, you can fix this by setting the following style:

1
2
3
#social-buttons .linkedin .IN-widget {
  line-height: 0 !important;
}

Hope that helps.

Hello Eugene;
Thank you. I have the same problem as Jorge and I tried your solution and it didn't solve my problem.
I have a div called "socialshares" where the "shares" are align, except the LinkedIN one.
The address is https://www.bbi.net.br/galeria/gal5.html for reference.
The style of "socialshares" is:
.socialshares {
font-family: "Century Gothic";
line-height: 0 !important;
vertical-align: middle;
height: auto;
display: inline;
float: none;
}

Thank you,
Gabriel
