Open Url from other iphone app

I had looked into info.plist file of LinkeIn app. The new version application doesn't have url scheme register by which we can open. The previous version of apps were having that. Can any one help me in this from LinkedIn or anyone else.

I don't know why the URL Scheme is removed while it was registered in earlier version. If there is another way given for that then please help me.

The previous URL scheme was not supported by LinkedIn. I can ask the mobile team to consider putting it back, but I don't think it will ever be a supported feature.

Note, please do not put the same question in multiple places on the forum.

It should be a supported feature - as it allows developers and users to have a simple way to link to their LinkedIn profiles from applications. iPhone and Android users would prefer to use the app's corresponding to their sites instead of having to use the phones built-in browser - its why we have those app's in the first place.

I cannot find nothing on Internet about LinkedIn URL Scheme! I am a webdesigner and I cannot imagine that all App developers use URL schemes, except LinkedIn staff! Com'on! Someone can help me to find URL Scheme? Thanks! ;-)

Hey Riccardo:
Your feedback has been passed on to the mobile team. Sorry we don't have any other updates at this time.
Thanks
Steve

Without URL scheme new LinkedIn app is not dev/user friendly. It's neither good for LinkedIn nor for developers. I agree with what Alexander Walsh said above. Having URL scheme will increase the use of LinkedIn App and also developers can write apps around it.

Sad to know event till date LinkedIn Mobile team hasn't put that back.

Hi Rajendra,

Completely agree with you, but every feature has an associated priority. At this time, the mobile team is working on things they deem to be of higher priority, but it's definitely on their roadmap. As a policy, LinkedIn doesn't comment on release dates in advance of a launch, so there is nothing more we can share on this topic until it's available publicly.

Thanks for your understanding!
