Rediret to http://touch.www.linkedin.com

Hello.

When I clear my iphone cookies and try to login using linkedin API i am first redirect to linkedIn app page (http://touch.www.linkedin.com) where when i click no thanks then the login screen shows to me.This is happening only first time after that if tried again to login then it directly send me to login page.

Is there anything i missed it here? please help me out ..Thanks in advance.

You need to be logged into LinkedIn in order to use the API, so it is making you do that before you login. The login functionality isn't fully supported on mobile devices although we're working on that actively at this time.

Thanks Kirsten, yes you are right. To use linkedIn API we need to login first. Now in my case my application authorisation is successfull then instead of sending me to login page where i grant access to my application to use my data it is sending me first to touch.www.linkedin.com there i say no thanks and then it redirect to login page. And this is happening only once if i logged in and then tried again then it will directly send me to login page. But if i clear cookie of my phone and then tried again it asks me for downloading linkedIn app.

Hi James,

This thread is about developers using our OAuth login flow being redirected. If you have issues as a user, you need to visit http://help.linkedin.com.

Customer care is not resolving the problem. They asked me so many questions. Still I am getting access to my home page and profile page of linkedin.

Huh? I decided to add the LinkedIn Logo to my company website and a link to my linkedIn company profile. It works great UNLESS you try it from a phone. In that case, it insists on a username and password.

Are you kidding me? A person has to sign-up at linkedin.com to see company page? At least from a mobile device, it seems so.

(and could we get the moderator to correct the title of this posting to spell Redirect properly? Thanks)

What am I missing? That can't be right! Do I need to put something in my link to bypass the logon?

I haven't been able to access linkedin on my android phone since last spring. It takes me to the touch site and just shows a blank page. If i click on like in my email it takes me to a linkedin site and i can see the linked in page with the comments. If i click on any thing else it takes me to the touch site which is a blank page.

I am new to this, however, geting started has not been an issue so far. At this point it is looking like a professional social center. Its all good.
